Tampa, FL – A Cold Weather Advisory remains in effect for Florida’s Gulf Coast, including Tampa, Sarasota, and Ocala, from 2 a.m. to 9 a.m. Friday, with wind chills as low as 25°F.
The National Weather Service (NWS) in Tampa Bay warns that subfreezing temperatures in some areas could damage crops and outdoor plumbing.
Residents should protect sensitive plants, bring pets indoors, and dress in warm layers.
Warmer temperatures are expected Friday afternoon, but another brief cold spell may arrive early next week.
