Tallahassee, Florida – Storms are back in the picture for Tallahassee by late Friday, with a rising chance of thunderstorms continuing through Saturday night, raising concerns for weekend plans and travel safety on U.S. 27 and I-10.

According to the National Weather Service in Tallahassee, Thursday (May 1) will be the last dry day before unstable conditions arrive. Skies will stay partly sunny with highs near 85°F, but fog could develop late Thursday night into early Friday, especially near rural routes and highways. Visibility may be limited before 9 a.m., so drivers should use extra caution.

A 20 percent chance of thunderstorms creeps in Friday afternoon as highs hit 88°F. By Friday night, scattered storms could move through Leon County with increased moisture from the Gulf. The chance of rain jumps to 50 percent by Saturday afternoon, with storms more likely after 2 p.m. Outdoor activities may be impacted, particularly at parks and sports fields.

Sunday brings a slight dip in temperatures, with a high near 83°F and continued storm chances (30 percent). Overnight lows stay in the mid-60s through the weekend. Rain lingers into Monday, with a 20 percent chance of storms both day and night, before skies begin to clear by Tuesday.
