Miami, FL – South Florida residents can look forward to a warm and breezy Sunday as a high-pressure system strengthens over the region. Temperatures are expected to climb to 80°F under partly sunny skies, with minimal chances of rain offering ideal conditions for outdoor activities.

According to the National Weather Service, a light south-southwest wind of 9-14 mph will persist Sunday, with occasional gusts up to 20 mph. Although the rain probability remains low at 20%, beachgoers should remain cautious due to a moderate risk of rip currents along Miami-Dade beaches. Swimmers are advised to heed local advisories and use designated swimming areas.

Looking ahead, Monday will bring cloudier skies and a 40% chance of showers, accompanied by cooler temperatures, with highs near 65°F. The breezy conditions will continue, making it feel slightly cooler. On Tuesday, temperatures will rebound to the mid-70s, with rain chances persisting through Wednesday night.

Marine conditions remain hazardous, particularly for small craft operators. Winds over the Atlantic are expected to reach 20 knots, and waves could rise to 6 feet.

South Florida’s extended forecast suggests another cold front may arrive midweek, pushing temperatures into the 40s for inland areas. Residents should monitor updates and plan for cooler evenings.

For those heading outdoors this Sunday, enjoy the sunshine and breezy weather but remain mindful of rip current risks at area beaches.
