Tallahassee, FL – The upcoming 10-day weather forecast for the Florida Panhandle and Southeast Alabama indicates a mix of rainy and hot conditions. Residents should prepare for fluctuating weather patterns, including thunderstorms and high temperatures.
According to the US National Weather Service in Tallahassee, today’s weather includes a 60% chance of rain with a high of 88°F. The rainy conditions are expected to continue through mid-week, with a 55% chance of rain on Tuesday and Wednesday. Both days will see temperatures rise to the low 90s.
By Thursday, the weather is expected to clear up slightly, with partly sunny skies and a high of 94°F. However, the reprieve will be short-lived as rain is expected to return on Friday, with a 50% chance of thunderstorms and a high of 93°F.
The weekend forecast shows a mix of sun and clouds with temperatures in the low 90s. Saturday and Sunday will have highs of 91°F and 92°F, respectively, with a slight chance of rain on Sunday at 45%.
In addition to the rain, a dense fog advisory was issued on Sunday morning for parts of Southeast Alabama and the Florida Panhandle. The advisory, in effect until 9:00 AM CT, urged drivers to slow down and use low-beam headlights due to visibility dropping below one mile.
A tropical disturbance over the central tropical Atlantic Ocean has a 40% chance of development over the next seven days. The National Hurricane Center in Miami is closely monitoring the system, which could impact the region later in the week.
