Sempronius, NY – A tragic vehicle crash claimed the life of a 23-year-old man from Homer on Route 41 late Friday night. Lane H. Quaile was pronounced dead at the scene after his vehicle left the roadway and struck a pole at the intersection of Atwood Road and Frazier Road.
According to Sheriff Brian Schenck, members of the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office responded to a personal injury motor vehicle crash around 11:40 PM. The preliminary investigation revealed that Quaile’s vehicle was the sole vehicle involved in the incident. Quaile was identified as the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle.
Authorities reported that Quaile’s vehicle veered off the road and collided with a pole, leading to his fatal injuries. The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing. Anyone with information related to this investigation is urged to contact Detective Dave Harkness at 315-294-8143.
