Fatal Carpentersville Accident Under Investigation After Multi-Vehicle Collision

Carpentersville, IL – A 70-year-old woman from Huntley died Wednesday in a two-vehicle crash at Randall and Binnie Roads.

Police responded at approximately 4:48 p.m. after reports of a collision involving a car and an SUV. Officers discovered that the woman had been driving north on Randall Road, attempting to turn west onto Binnie Road. During the turn, an SUV heading south on Randall struck her vehicle.

The woman was transported to Sherman Hospital, where medical staff pronounced her dead. According to the Carpentersville Police Department, authorities have secured video footage from a nearby vehicle’s onboard camera to aid in the investigation.

The Kane County Office of Emergency Management (OEM) and the Kane County Accident Reconstruction Team (KCART) are leading the inquiry into the crash. Investigators are working to determine whether speed, weather, or other factors contributed.
