Detroit, Michigan – Anyone planning outdoor activities across Southeast Michigan has a favorable weather window through Friday before showers and thunderstorms return for part of the weekend. Temperatures will climb well above normal to end the workweek, making Friday the warmest day before a cooler pattern settles in Saturday.
According to the National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac, sunny skies will dominate today with afternoon highs ranging from 83 to 87 degrees across Metro Detroit, Ann Arbor, Flint, Port Huron, Monroe, and surrounding communities. Dry conditions will provide excellent travel weather on major routes including I-75, I-94, I-96, and US-23.
Friday brings another warm day with partly sunny skies and highs reaching 86 to 89 degrees. While humidity will gradually increase, most of Southeast Michigan is expected to remain dry through the day, offering another opportunity for outdoor events, construction projects, and summer recreation.
A change arrives Saturday as highs ease into the 76 to 80 degree range with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Anyone with outdoor plans should monitor updated forecasts, as locally heavy rain and lightning could interrupt activities during the day.
Conditions improve again Sunday with partly sunny skies and temperatures between 76 and 82 degrees, followed by sunny weather Monday with highs recovering to 80 to 84 degrees.
