Southeast Michigan – Rain and chilly weather will continue across Southeast Michigan today, impacting morning and evening commutes. A widespread system will bring rain showers throughout the region, with temperatures hovering in the upper 40s to around 50 degrees. Local roads, including sections of I-94 and I-75, may experience reduced visibility and slick conditions, urging caution for drivers.

According to the National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac, rain is expected to taper off by this afternoon, though overcast skies will persist into the evening. As the rain subsides, tonight’s temperatures will dip to a low of 47, with cloudy skies likely to hold. Moving into Friday, conditions are set to improve with mild temperatures reaching the lower 50s. Clouds are expected to linger through the morning before partial clearing in the afternoon, offering a milder end to the work week.

Looking ahead to the weekend, Saturday is forecasted to be mostly sunny, with highs around 53 degrees, providing a welcome break from the recent rain. Sunday will bring increasing cloud cover, and a slight chance of showers could return by Sunday night. However, overall, residents can expect a calm and dry start to the weekend.

Next week’s forecast hints at continued mild conditions, with Monday’s temperatures reaching the mid-50s under mostly sunny skies. Another round of showers may approach by Tuesday, so residents should keep an umbrella handy. For now, Southeast Michigan can anticipate a reprieve from rain after today, with milder and sunnier days just ahead.
