Denver, CO — Scattered thunderstorms will develop this afternoon across Central Colorado as temperatures rise into the lower 90s. Some areas will experience gusty winds and brief rain, especially over higher terrain. Isolated showers may also move over the plains near the Wyoming border.

According to the National Weather Service, the region will continue seeing above-normal temperatures throughout the week. Monday’s forecast calls for another day with highs near 90 degrees, along with more isolated showers and storms. Thunderstorms will primarily impact the mountains and valleys during the afternoon hours.

Clouds are expected to move out by Wednesday, bringing mostly sunny skies and slightly cooler temperatures in the mid-80s. By the end of the week, temperatures will drop further into the upper 80s, with minimal storm activity forecasted for Thursday and Friday.

Residents are encouraged to monitor weather updates, especially in higher elevation areas where thunderstorms could develop quickly.
