Darlington County, SC – Three individuals are in custody following a vehicle pursuit in Darlington County that began after deputies responded to a reported shooting earlier this week.

According to the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office, the incident unfolded Monday, April 21, when deputies assigned to the Special Crimes Unit, along with Hartsville Police, were patrolling the Darlington area. Authorities say they spotted a vehicle with occupants wearing face coverings and an object obstructing the license plate.

When deputies attempted a traffic stop using blue lights and sirens, the driver allegedly accelerated, leading officers on a pursuit that ended on Pineville Road in the Darlington area. Investigators say the suspects then fled on foot before being quickly apprehended after a short chase.

Three individuals were arrested: Ty’Lon McFarland, Chance Littles, and Lerontae Porter. McFarland was charged with failure to stop for blue lights, driving under suspension, possession of a stolen pistol, and breach of peace aggravated in nature.

Littles and Porter were each charged with possession of a stolen pistol and breach of peace aggravated in nature.

Magistrates set bond for McFarland at more than $21,000 across multiple charges, while Littles and Porter were each issued $20,000 bonds.

Officials have not confirmed whether the suspects are directly connected to the earlier reported shooting. The investigation remains active, and additional details could be released as it develops.
