Dallas, TX – Residents across North Texas can expect a pleasant turnaround in weather today, with sunshine and mild temperatures settling in after a rainy Saturday.
According to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, Sunday, April 19, will bring sunnier skies and afternoon highs in the low to mid-70s across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and surrounding areas, including Waco, Killeen, and Sherman.
The improved conditions follow a cooler, rain-filled Saturday, offering a more comfortable and dry end to the weekend for outdoor plans and travel across Central and North Texas.
According to forecasters, the stretch of calm weather will continue into Monday, with highs expected in the mid-70s and partly cloudy skies. However, changes are on the horizon as storm chances begin to increase Tuesday, particularly across Central Texas.
Rain and thunderstorms are currently forecast to develop Tuesday, with about a 40% chance in the DFW area and higher chances farther south toward Waco, Temple, and Killeen. Additional scattered storms may linger into Wednesday before conditions dry out later in the week.
Temperatures are expected to climb steadily after midweek, with highs reaching into the 80s by Thursday and Friday across much of the region.
Residents are encouraged to enjoy the mild conditions early in the week while staying weather-aware for potential midweek storms that could impact travel and outdoor activities.
