Boston, MA – Sunshine and a welcome boost in temperatures are spreading across Massachusetts today, with highs climbing into the upper 70s and low 80s in most inland areas.
According to the National Weather Service in Boston, Tuesday’s warmup follows a cool morning start. Highs are expected to reach 82°F in cities like Hartford and Greenfield, while coastal spots such as Boston, Plymouth, and Provincetown will stay a few degrees cooler thanks to ocean breezes. Humidity levels will remain low, making for a comfortable early June day statewide.
In Worcester, highs will approach 79°F under clear skies, and Providence will hit 80°F by mid-afternoon. Travelers heading along I-95 or I-90 should experience smooth conditions with dry pavement and light winds. No advisories or major disruptions are expected, though UV levels will be high — sunscreen is strongly recommended.
The coast will see slightly cooler air, with Nantucket staying near 70°F and Hyannis topping out at 71°F. Sea breezes will dominate the shoreline, making for ideal beach weather across Cape Cod and the Islands.
Dry weather is expected to continue into the evening, with the next update from NWS due early Wednesday. No alerts are currently posted.
