Stamford, CT – A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for southern Connecticut, northeast New Jersey, and parts of the Hudson Valley from 4 AM to 1 PM EST Thursday, with snow, sleet, and freezing rain expected to create hazardous road conditions.

According to the National Weather Service in New York, the advisory includes Fairfield, New Haven, Middlesex, and New London counties in Connecticut, as well as Bergen County in New Jersey and Westchester County in New York. Snow accumulations up to 2 inches, combined with a light glaze of ice, could make travel hazardous.

The Thursday morning commute is expected to be impacted, with slippery roads and potential delays. Drivers are advised to reduce speed and allow extra time. Pedestrians should also exercise caution, as icy sidewalks and driveways may increase the risk of falls.
