Concord, NH – New Hampshire State Police are renewing calls for information in two decades-old cases, urging the public to help bring answers to families still waiting for justice.
According to New Hampshire State Police, one case involves Maurice Giguere, 30, whose body was discovered on May 2, 1991, in the Androscoggin River in Dummer, Coos County. Investigators said Giguere died from gunshot wounds. He had been living in Nashua, Hillsborough County, at the time and was last seen leaving a party near his Clairmoor Drive home on Friday, February 22, 1991. He was reported missing on Sunday, March 3, 1991.
Authorities say the second case dates back even further. Michael “J.T.” McGuire, 34, of Lowell, Massachusetts, was found on Tuesday, May 2, 1978, in a wooded area along Albuquerque Road in Litchfield, Hillsborough County. According to investigators, the cause of death could not be determined, but the circumstances surrounding the case have been deemed suspicious.
State police are asking anyone with information about either case to come forward. Even small details, they say, could help advance the investigations.
Tips can be submitted to the New Hampshire Cold Case Unit’s email. Additional case details are also available through the state’s official cold case tip portal.
Both cases remain open, and investigators continue to review evidence as new information becomes available.
