Pueblo, CO – Dry weather will dominate most of southeastern Colorado today, with a low chance of storms in Baca County. Winds across the region will remain weak, but mountain valleys will see gusts up to 25 mph this afternoon.
According to the National Weather Service in Pueblo, there’s a less than 20% chance for a strong storm in Baca County between 3 and 5 p.m. Forecasters expect generally weak winds throughout the area, but gusts will increase in the mountain valleys during the afternoon.
Temperatures are expected to rise into the 80s and 90s, with Springfield potentially seeing the highest readings in the region. Most areas will remain dry, allowing outdoor activities to continue without much disruption. However, residents should stay updated for any unexpected storm developments later in the day.
While the storm risk is low, strong winds in the valleys could lead to hazardous conditions. Those in areas prone to gusts should take extra precautions.
