Green Bay, WI – Severe storms are developing in western Wisconsin and are expected to move into central regions early this afternoon. Residents are urged to stay alert as these storms could bring hazardous conditions.

According to the National Weather Service in Green Bay, storms have already formed over west-central and northwest Wisconsin. These weather systems are shifting eastward and may impact central Wisconsin, including areas like Stevens Point and Wausau, between 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM. Additional isolated storms may develop ahead of the main storm line, increasing the potential for severe weather.

The National Weather Service has highlighted several possible hazards associated with these storms. Wind gusts could reach up to 50 mph, potentially causing damage to trees and structures. Hail up to half an inch in diameter is also possible, which could damage vehicles and crops. Additionally, heavy downpours and frequent lightning are expected, posing risks of flash flooding and power outages.
