Central Illinois Alert: Home Invasion Saturday Sparks Criminal Sexual Assault Investigation

Normal, IL – Authorities are investigating a serious incident that took place at an off-campus dwelling early Saturday morning in the 200 block of W. Willow Street. 

According to Illinois State University Police Department reports, police reports officers from the Normal Police Department responded to a home invasion report at around 7:16 am. Initial reports indicate that a suspect entered an unlocked residence and confronted two occupants. One victim was reportedly threatened, and another was sexually assaulted before the suspect fled on foot.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6 feet tall, in his mid-20s, with short black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black trucker’s hat with a white icon, silver earrings, a short-sleeved black button-up shirt over a white T-shirt, tan pants, and black Nike shoes. The Normal Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division is actively seeking information and urges anyone with knowledge of the incident to contact Detective M.
