Hanford, CA – A Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect across Central California’s San Joaquin Valley, extending from Fresno to Delano. Motorists are urged to exercise caution as visibility is expected to remain below a quarter mile through 10 a.m. today, particularly along major roadways like Highway 99 and Highway 41.
According to the National Weather Service, dense fog will create hazardous driving conditions, with slick roads and reduced sightlines posing risks during early morning travel. Officials advise drivers to slow down, use low-beam headlights, and allow extra space between vehicles.
The fog is expected to dissipate by late morning, giving way to mostly sunny skies with highs near 56°F. Tonight, patchy dense fog may return after 9 p.m., accompanied by lows around 40°F and calm winds.
Looking ahead, Sunday will remain partly cloudy with areas of dense fog in the morning, clearing by midday. Daytime highs will hover near 57°F, with overnight lows around 39°F. Widespread fog is likely to persist into Monday morning before lifting. The remainder of the week brings a mix of sun and foggy conditions, with temperatures in the mid-50s to low-40s.
Residents are encouraged to stay updated on weather conditions through local forecasts and to avoid unnecessary travel during advisory hours. Those commuting through the affected region should anticipate delays and plan accordingly.
