Bradley, IL – Bradley-Bourbonnais Community High School District 307 is asking residents to approve a $62 million bond referendum on November 5. If passed, the bond would raise property taxes by $23.08 per month for a homeowner with a $200,000 property value.

District officials say the funds are critical to improving school safety and enhancing learning environments. The proposed projects include adding 15 new learning spaces, expanding STEM labs, and improving traffic flow on North Street. Plans also call for renovations to food service areas, performing arts spaces, and the student cafeteria. A fieldhouse would be added to improve physical education spaces, reducing hallway noise by relocating gym activities.

The bond proposal was developed through “Building Better,” a community initiative launched in January. More than 100 residents provided input during public sessions, focusing on the district’s future needs. The district would contribute $8 million from its operating budget to supplement the bond.

If approved, construction is expected to be completed by fall 2028.
