Blue Grass, IA: Crash Sends Two to Hospital After Stop Sign Violation

Blue Grass, IA – Two people were hospitalized Monday following a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of 110th Avenue and 130th Street in Blue Grass, IA.

The Scott County Sheriff’s Office reported that a 2008 Ford E350 traveling westbound on 130th Street failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a 2014 Chevy Malibu heading southbound on 110th Avenue.

According to the Scott County Sheriff’s Office Accident Investigation Team, the crash occurred around 3:52 PM. Both drivers were taken to Genesis East hospital by Medic EMS. Their current conditions are unknown.

The accident remains under investigation by the Scott County Sheriff’s Office. Local law enforcement agencies, including the Buffalo and Blue Grass police departments, also assisted at the scene.

Authorities have not yet announced any charges or additional details regarding the crash. Scott County EMS and the Blue Grass Fire Department provided emergency services.
