Louisville, KY – Firefighters responded to a house fire early Tuesday morning in the 3400 block of Vermont Avenue. The vacant two-story home sustained heavy fire damage.
Crews arrived within three minutes and encountered intense flames on the first floor. According to the Louisville Fire Department, firefighters launched an aggressive attack to contain the blaze and search the property. The fire spread rapidly but was extinguished within 30 minutes.
Officials reported that 25 firefighters worked to prevent the fire from damaging nearby homes. Multiple handlines and a large hose protected surrounding properties. No injuries were reported.
The Louisville Arson Unit is investigating the fire’s cause. Residents are advised to avoid the area as investigators continue their work.
