Little Rock, Arkansas – Arkansas residents can expect a mostly warm and quiet stretch through midweek before a much wetter pattern develops late this week, bringing widespread rain and thunderstorm chances across much of the state.
According to the National Weather Service in Little Rock, Monday will be the coolest day of the week before temperatures steadily climb back toward seasonal averages. Highs across much of Arkansas will reach the upper 80s and lower 90s by Wednesday and Thursday, with several locations approaching the mid-90s.
Little Rock is forecast to warm from 80 degrees Monday to around 91 degrees Thursday, while cities including Hot Springs, Pine Bluff, Russellville, Jonesboro and Camden will also experience above-normal warmth through midweek.
Rain chances remain relatively low through Thursday afternoon, although a few isolated showers are possible across southern Arkansas. The next significant weather system is expected to arrive Thursday night and continue into Friday.
Forecast data shows some of the highest rain chances statewide occurring Friday, with probabilities reaching 70% to 75% across portions of central and southern Arkansas, including Little Rock, Hot Springs, Pine Bluff and surrounding communities. Periods of heavy rain and thunderstorms may affect travel and outdoor activities.
Residents with outdoor plans late this week should monitor updated forecasts and be prepared for changing conditions. While widespread severe weather is not currently highlighted, thunderstorms could produce brief heavy rainfall and localized ponding on roadways.
