Gould, Ark. – Arkansas State Police are investigating the death of a Cummins Unit prisoner as a potential homicide.

On Wednesday, the Department of Corrections contacted the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) regarding an inmate’s death. Investigators identified the prisoner as Quincy Moore, 51, who was found deceased in his cell.

Moore was serving a life sentence for a 1990 aggravated robbery in Pulaski County. Officials have labeled the case as a homicide investigation, though further details remain limited.

The Lincoln County Coroner will transfer Moore’s body to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for an autopsy. The lab will determine the official cause and manner of death.
