Arkansas & Missouri Flood Warning: Saint Francis River to Crest at 23 Feet by Saturday

Memphis, TN – The National Weather Service (NWS) in Memphis has issued a Flood Warning for the Saint Francis River near Saint Francis, affecting parts of Arkansas and Missouri. Minor flooding is expected, with the river forecast to crest at 23.0 feet by Saturday morning.

According to the NWS, as of 9:00 a.m. CST Friday, the river stage was at 21.6 feet and is expected to rise above the flood stage of 22.0 feet by late Friday morning. Floodwaters will primarily impact low-lying areas inside the levee system.

Residents in affected regions, including Clay and Greene counties in Arkansas and Dunklin County in Missouri, are urged to avoid flooded roads and follow safety precautions. The NWS emphasizes the dangers of driving through high water, warning that most flood-related deaths occur in vehicles.
