ASH FLAT, Ark. – A 65-year-old man from Ash Flat has been sentenced to 560 years in prison following convictions on 14 counts of rape. Terry “Woodstock” Long, 65, received the sentence from Sharp County Circuit Court on Wednesday after being found guilty of assaulting a minor.
In June 2023, the Sharp County Sheriff’s Office began investigating Long after the Arkansas Crimes Against Children Unit reported an alleged assault on a minor. Authorities arrested Long on June 15, 2023.
According to the Arkansas State Police, special agents conducted a thorough investigation, examining the contents of Long’s computer and cellphone, as well as the victim’s cellphone. The evidence collected from these devices was presented to a Sharp County jury, which returned a guilty verdict on all charges.
Sharp County Circuit Judge Rob Ratton delivered the 560-year sentence, ensuring Long will spend the rest of his life in the Arkansas Department of Corrections.
