Superior, AZ – Drivers on US 60 between Superior and Miami will face closures and detours this week due to planned maintenance. Closures will occur from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, affecting mileposts 227-243. Local traffic can access mileposts 231-243 during the closures.
According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, there is also a lane shift near milepost 228, east of Queen Creek Bridge. Speed limits in this area are reduced to 35 mph. Drivers should exercise caution when traveling through the zone.
Eastbound traffic is directed to use southbound State Route 177 through Winkelman, then northbound on SR 77. Westbound drivers should reverse the detour, using SR 77 to SR 177.
The maintenance work aims to ensure safer travel and is expected to end by Thursday afternoon. Travelers should plan for delays and adjust routes accordingly.
