Towson, MD – A 16-year-old bicyclist has died following a crash earlier this month in Baltimore County, according to police.

According to the Baltimore County Police Department, the crash occurred around 5:30 p.m. on Monday, May 5, along West Joppa Road near Abell Ridge Drive. Investigators say the teen was traveling eastbound and attempting to make a left turn when a collision occurred with a westbound vehicle.

The bicyclist was transported to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries following the crash. Authorities confirmed that on Thursday, May 7, the teen was pronounced dead.

Police have identified the victim as Alex Norenberg. No additional details about the driver or potential charges have been released at this time.
