ROUND LAKE, Ill. — A late-night disturbance escalated into a concerning situation for law enforcement officials, when one of the arrested men allegedly made alarming threats to a deputy.
Lake County Sheriff’s Department reports officers had initially responded to reports of a disruptive party on the 24500 block of West Stub Avenue, where around 100 partygoers were found causing a ruckus. While many attendees spilled out into local streets and yards, two Waukegan men’s actions stood out.
Ramon Basurto, 21, allegedly threw a beer bottle at a deputy, leading to his arrest. But it was Jarvion Allen, 21, who, after allegedly attempting to assault a Round Lake Police Sergeant, reportedly made alarming threats against the deputy and his family during his transport to the jail.
Basurto has been charged with aggravated battery to a peace officer while Allen was charged with aggravated assault on a peace officer and threatening a public official.
