Arlington Heights, IL – Chicagoland residents planning to celebrate New Year’s Eve now have a convenient and safe transportation option. Pace, the suburban bus service, is offering free rides across its network, including the Pace Connect and ADA Paratransit services, during the late-night hours of New Year’s Eve.

According to Pace’s announcement, the free service will be available from 10 p.m. on Sunday, December 31, until 4 a.m. on Monday, January 1. This initiative is part of Pace’s efforts to encourage the use of public transportation during the festive season, enhancing safety and convenience for those attending New Year’s Eve celebrations.

Pace Connect, a novel late-night ride-hailing service, is now operating in the O’Hare and Harvey areas, with recent expansions in the Harvey area. This expansion allows for more flexible trip options, as riders can now be picked up and dropped off anywhere within the designated zone, rather than being restricted to the Harvey Transportation Center.

Despite the limited availability of regular bus services during these hours, Pace’s ADA Paratransit Service offers continuous 24/7 operations in the City of Chicago. Travelers should note that regular Sunday schedules will apply on December 31, while holiday service schedules are set for January 1. Pace encourages passengers to review the New Year’s Day Holiday Schedule in advance to plan their trips accordingly.
