Macon, GA – Authorities in Bibb County are investigating a death after a man was found unresponsive վաղ Thursday morning at a residence in Macon.
According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched just before 1:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 7, 2026, to the 1000 block of Burke Street following a 911 call reporting an unresponsive person.
Upon arrival, deputies located a 43-year-old man on the front porch of the home. Officials say he was pronounced dead at the scene by the deputy coroner.
The identity of the man has not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin.
Investigators say the case remains active as they work to determine the circumstances surrounding the death. No cause has been publicly confirmed at this time.
