Kankakee Streetscape Lighting Ceremony set for next Tuesday

The City of Kankakee invites you to the lighting ceremony in Downtown Kankakee next Tuesday, Feb 4^th from 4:30-5pm with a reception to follow at Grapes & Hops at 251 S Schuyler Avenue.

The Schuyler Avenue Streetscape Plan, which included the new bike lanes, was formally adopted by the City Council last year and held four public meetings to determine the shape of the project.  The final meeting was held at the Depot on June 18^th last year.
