The Kankakee Chapter of the NAACP (National Association of the Advancement of Colored People), will be holding a Community Drive-In Rally Tuesday evening at 6 p.m. at the Kankakee County Fairgrounds.
“The purpose of this rally is to advocate for justice for George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and all of those individuals who’ve been slain by law enforcement,” said Kankakee NAACP chapter President Theodis Pace.
The line-up for cars will begin at 5 p.m. at the fairgrounds (213 W. 4000 Rd. S., Kankakee), and attendees are encouraged to decorate their cars and bring signs.
This rally comes just one day after three days of peaceful protests throughout Kankakee County.
