Riverside Healthcare announced this afternoon 28 of its 70 residents are now infected with COVID-19.
That number has doubled in just two days since the facility announced it had 17 residents infected with the Virus on Wednesday.
According to residents, family members have been alerted and cases isolated for those that have tested positive for the disease. The facility can now support up to 78% of the Center’s seniors in a negative pressure environment to accommodate isolation requirements.
Isolation tents are used to restrict airflow used by a patient and push it outside of the building.
Reports of residents infected at the facility first began on April 9th. It took over a week before Riverside officially announced any cases at Riverside’s 5-Star Senior Living Center.
