Iroquois County Health Department officials have seen cases within the County nearly double in the past 48 hours.

On Thursday, Iroquois County Health Department announced its 11th and 12th cases of the disease, Friday afternoon announcing a 13th and 14th case.  Prior to Wednesday, case counts for the County were holding at 10 cases overall.

Further information was limited, but new cases range from 20-50 years of age.  All new cases announced are female.  To date six individuals have been released from isolation in Iroquois County and deemed fully recovered by County Health officials.

No word if the Holiday Weekend could have played a factor in the sudden rise in area case counts.
