Bickford Senior Living in Bourbonnais is currently reporting 2 cases of COVID-19 among its residents.
The news comes as Bickford Senior Living announced today their effort to push transparent communications for local areas residents on all 63 websites of their locations across 10 states. Bickford was one of the first senior living providers to begin reporting cases of COVID-19 in their living facilities.
“We owe it to the families of the loved ones in our care to let them know what is happening in our locations across the nation,” said Andy Eby, one of the four owners of Bickford Senior Living. “Our approach to care has always been grounded in open communication with our residents, their families and of course our great staff. We believe transparent communication is more important than ever in these difficult times and we urge all of our peers in the senior living and long-term care industry to join us now,” Eby said.
Bickford Senior Living currently operates 63 branches in 10 states. Their 2,500 staff members, referred to as BFM’s, Bickford Family Members, care for nearly 3,000 residents today. Bickford has branches in Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
