The Ultimate: Gabrielle Dismang

This week’s Ultimate is Gabrielle Dismang, a senior at BBCHS. Gabrielle plays softball for BBCHS and travel ball for the River Valley Rage. Gabrielle’s Rage team took second place this year in the 16U “B” Eastern World Series. When described by her Rage softball coach, Ron Zielinski, he said, “Gabbie has played travel softball for us at River Valley Rage for several years now. Gabbie is a strong player with a big bat, her greatest quality is her leadership that she brings to the team.”

20,000 additional fans turn out for Bears Camp in 2019

Kankakee County, IL – If you didn’t show up to the 2019 “Illinois. Are you up for Amazing?” Chicago Bears Training Camp a football fan, you sure left one. The Kankakee County Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) confirmed an uptick in attendance to the tune of 59,525, over 20,000 more than in 2018 when 39,450 fans came out. Eight public practices were held on the campus of Olivet Nazarene University, two less than in 2018.

116th Will County Fair Starts Today

The 116th Annual Will County Fair starts today. Running from August 21st to August 25th. General Admission is $5.00 with children under 9 getting in for free.
