Tinley Park, IL – Local firefighters are gearing up for a community-driven fundraising event set to bring residents together for a day on the course while supporting a meaningful cause.

According to the Tinley Park Firefighters Association, the group will host its annual Charity Golf Outing on Thursday, May 28, 2026, with a 9 a.m. shotgun start at Silver Lake Country Club in nearby Orland Park. Organizers say the event aims to raise funds while strengthening ties between first responders and the community they serve.

A portion of the proceeds from the outing will benefit Tinley Wish, a local organization that provides support to families facing medical hardships. Fire officials say the partnership reflects their continued commitment to giving back beyond emergency response.

The event will include 18 holes of golf along with lunch, dinner, raffles and prizes. Registration is set at $165 per golfer, and organizers note that sponsorship opportunities are currently available for businesses and individuals looking to contribute.

Participants can expect a full day of activities, including registration in the morning followed by the shotgun start and post-round festivities. Firefighters say the outing has become a staple community event, drawing participants from across the south suburbs each year.

Officials encourage early registration as spots are limited. Those interested in participating or sponsoring the event can reach out to organizers via email for additional details.

The Tinley Park Firefighters Association says it hopes this year’s outing will continue its tradition of strong turnout and meaningful impact for local families in need.
