Each month, the Kankakee Public Library will ask for a donation that targets specific items to help others within the community. November’s items are deodorant and quality adult sized gloves. Donations can be deposited in the designated blue bin inside the doors of the Kankakee Public Library.
Several towns have moved their Trick or Treat hours to Friday including Buckingham, Braidwood, Chebanse, Clifton, Dwight, Grant Park, and Herscher. Beecher’s Trick or Treat Hours have been moved to Saturday.
Music from the Native American culture will be performed by Bill Miller, award-winning flute player on Monday, Nov. 18 from noon - 1 p.m. in the College Center at Kankakee Community College.
Original art work will include water color and oil paintings, blown and fused glass creations, pottery, sculpture, woodworking for hand-turned pens, hand-knits, quilts, jewelry, porcelain painting, handmade soaps, recycled memories, and Museum store.
The Kankakee Public Library will be closing at noon on Friday, October 25, 2019 for a staff training day.
