Louisville, KY – After bitterly cold temperatures, Louisville and surrounding areas will see a warming trend this weekend, but flood warnings remain in effect.

According to the National Weather Service, a Cold Weather Advisory will end Thursday morning, with temperatures slowly rising. Friday will be sunny, with highs near 31°F, but wind chill values could still drop to single digits early in the day.

Saturday and Sunday bring milder conditions, with highs reaching 37°F and 43°F, respectively. Nights will stay cold, dipping into the 20s. While the thawing trend continues, Ohio River flooding remains a concern, with warnings extending through Sunday morning.

Residents should avoid flooded roadways and check updates from the National Weather Service for river levels. Warmer days ahead signal relief, but caution is advised.
