Ashland, N.H. – A Meredith man was arrested Wednesday night after allegedly driving the wrong way on Interstate 93, leading to a police intervention.
According to New Hampshire State Police, Troop F received multiple reports at 9:35 p.m. about a vehicle traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of I-93 in Thornton. Troopers located the silver Toyota Corolla as it continued at a high rate of speed through Ashland.

Heffron now faces multiple charges, including nine counts of felony reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, aggravated DUI, and reckless driving. He is being held on preventative detention at the Grafton County Department of Corrections.
The Ashland and Holderness police departments assisted in the incident. The case remains under investigation, and anyone with information is urged to contact Trooper David Carlson at (603) 223-3787.
