Chicago, IL – Amtrak has canceled its Empire Builder route scheduled for Monday between Illinois and Washington, citing extreme cold weather conditions.

The train service announced on social media that Train 7/27, set to depart Monday from Chicago to Spokane, Washington, will not operate. Train 8/28, which runs between Spokane and Chicago, has also been canceled.
