Wind gusts as high as 50 mph are creating widespread blowing snow, impacting areas like Wolf Creek, MacDonald Pass, and Choteau. The advisory for these regions expires at 3 p.m.
In Cascade County and surrounding areas, snowfall totals will range from 1 to 5 inches, with heavier accumulations near mountains like Judith Gap. The advisory for these regions remains in effect until noon Saturday. High winds are increasing the risk of power line damage and tree falls.
Blizzard-like conditions are reported in the Little Belt and Judith Mountains, where up to 6 inches of snow is expected. Visibility remains a concern, particularly on mountain passes like Kings Hill Pass. Chains may be necessary for some vehicles in these areas.
