Milwaukee, WI – Snowfall across southeastern Wisconsin is expected to taper off by midday today, but hazardous road conditions will persist throughout the morning. Drivers are urged to allow extra travel time and exercise caution during their commute.

According to the National Weather Service, a Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until noon for Milwaukee, Racine, Kenosha, and Waukesha counties. Blowing and drifting snow from north-northwest winds could cause reduced visibility, with snow-covered roads expected, particularly in areas that received up to 2 inches of accumulation overnight.

Today’s high will reach 30°F with strong gusts up to 30 mph contributing to blustery conditions. By tonight, skies will clear as temperatures drop to around 14°F.

Looking ahead, Saturday brings sunshine and calmer conditions with highs near 22°F and light north winds at 5-10 mph. Sunday continues the clear trend with highs reaching 32°F. However, Monday introduces another chance of precipitation, including potential snow and rain, as temperatures climb to nearly 39°F.

Commuters are advised to check road conditions through 511 Wisconsin before traveling and prepare for possible delays, especially on I-94 and local routes near Lake Michigan.

Be sure to bundle up and stay safe during the lingering cold and snow. Plan now for a brighter weekend ahead.
