Corpus Christi, TX – Patchy drizzle and light fog will affect the region today as temperatures climb into the mid-70s. Residents are urged to drive cautiously during early morning hours, especially near coastal areas and major roadways such as South Padre Island Drive.
According to the National Weather Service, light rain will taper off by late morning, leaving partly cloudy skies through the afternoon. Southeast winds of 6 to 11 mph will keep humidity high, with conditions remaining warm and muggy. Looking ahead, Monday and Tuesday will remain mostly sunny with highs in the mid-70s, but a midweek cooldown is on the horizon. By Wednesday, a northern front will sweep through, bringing a 30% chance of showers and cooler temperatures, dropping highs to the low 60s by Thursday.
Beachgoers should be cautious this weekend, as rip currents remain a moderate risk. Water temperatures are in the mid-60s, with waves between 3 and 5 feet. If caught in a rip current, swim parallel to the shore and remain calm.
