South Bend, IN – Police are investigating the death of a woman found in a South Bend apartment Tuesday night.
Around 8:30 p.m., South Bend officers responded to the 3300 block of South High Street for a welfare check. Upon arriving, officers discovered an adult female deceased inside the apartment. Police have withheld her identity until next of kin are notified.
According to the South Bend Police Department, an autopsy is scheduled for Thursday in Kalamazoo to determine the cause of death. The investigation is ongoing, with more information expected following the autopsy results. Authorities have not yet indicated whether foul play is suspected.
