Kankakee, IL – A juvenile was injured in a shooting at McBroom Park on Wednesday afternoon. The victim arrived at a local hospital around 2:45 p.m., telling police he had been shot while sitting in a vehicle with friends at 1000 S. 10th Ave.
According to police, the juvenile reported an unknown subject fired at him. Fortunately, his injuries are considered non-life-threatening. Kankakee officers immediately responded to McBroom Park, where they found a firearm and other evidence. Investigators continue to interview witnesses and search for surveillance footage in the area.
