Shrader-Weaver Nature Preserve, IN – The Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is inviting nature lovers to explore the Shrader-Weaver Nature Preserve on a free guided hike scheduled for Sept. 7 at 10 a.m. ET. The preserve, a designated National Natural Landmark, offers a glimpse into Indiana’s rich natural heritage.
Participants will traverse diverse landscapes, including open fields, an 1830s pioneer homestead, and beech-maple dominated old-growth forests. The hike also includes views of a seep spring, successional forest, and vibrant wildflower displays.
