BOURBONNAIS, Ill. — Get ready for a day of autumn fun as the Bourbonnais Township Park District hosts its 11th Annual Scarecrow Contest & Festival on Saturday, Sept. 21, from 10:00 a.m. to noon at Perry Farm Park.
The event invites participants to show off their creativity by constructing their own scarecrows. The $30 registration fee includes a scarecrow frame, and registration opens on Tuesday, Sept. 3, at 9:00 a.m. Attendees are encouraged to vote for their favorite scarecrow, with all People’s Choice proceeds benefiting the Ascension Health Breast Cancer Foundation.
In addition to the scarecrow contest, the festival will feature a Fall Art Stroll from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., showcasing artists and crafters along the trails of Perry Farm Park. Families can also enjoy the Kid Zone, food trucks, and live entertainment throughout the day, making it a perfect outing for all ages.
