Paducah, KY – Residents across western Kentucky, eastern Missouri, and southern Illinois can expect a welcome break from the oppressive heat and humidity this weekend. A shift towards dry conditions with lower temperatures and reduced humidity levels is forecasted.
According to the US National Weather Service in Paducah, Kentucky, the weekend will bring cooler temperatures, with highs ranging from the upper 80s to mid-90s. The heat will taper off starting Friday with temperatures reaching 88°F in Cape Girardeau and 91°F in Carbondale. By Sunday, high temperatures will drop to around 87°F in Owensboro and 92°F in Henderson. The forecast shows significantly lower humidity, making the weather more tolerable compared to the previous days.
The seven-day forecast indicates that by Monday, temperatures will rise again, with highs reaching the mid-90s, but the humidity levels will not be as oppressive. Overnight lows will stay in the high 60s to low 70s, providing some relief during the evenings.
Precipitation chances remain minimal, with most areas expecting no rain throughout the weekend. A slight chance of thunderstorms is projected towards the end of next week, with a 15% chance of rain in Mount Carmel and Harrisburg by Thursday.
