Frankfort, IL – Registration is now open for the 3rd Annual Scary at the Prairie 5K and Spooky Sprints, set to take place in downtown Frankfort on Saturday, October 19, at 10:30 AM. This Halloween-themed event invites participants to don their best costumes and join in a variety of runs and activities.
According to the Village of Frankfort, the event will feature a scenic 5K course through Prairie Park, where runners may encounter spooky costumes along the way. Highlights include a 1-mile fun run for children 10 and under, and a 100-yard dash for kids 5 and under. Additionally, there will be a costume contest with “fang-tastic” prizes, Halloween-themed photo opportunities, and entertainment.
Participants can enjoy refreshments and treats while taking part in the festivities. Early bird registration ends on October 17, and those who register early will save money and guarantee themselves a race shirt that adds a stylish flair to their Halloween attire.
